Beyond her production and humanitarian work, Barbara is a popular and, sought after speaker and executive consultant who advises organizations and corporations on their environmental policies. With her extensive Executive Board experience, Barbara is frequently invited to participate in global think tanks on sustainable development. The empowerment of women and native peoples' rights continue to be the focus of Barbara's personal activism.
As an acclaimed photographer, Barbara's work has been featured on the covers of TIME Magazine as well as in dozens of books and periodicals. Her private collection includes exclusive photography of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
on their historic 1975 Born to Run Tour and an impressive portfolio of work from her lifelong travels around the world.
Barbara graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Baccalaureate from Tulane University's Newcomb College where she was named Outstanding Student of Philosophy and a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. She studied abroad at King's College, London, England. In 1992, Newcomb College honored her as Alumnae of the Year. She went on to earn her Master's Degree in Philosophy and Logic from New York University, meeting all the requirements for her Doctorate, less dissertation. Barbara was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
